Trinity High student pictured in racist image no longer attending school

A student who posted a racist homecoming proposal on social media

that made mention of slavery is no longer a student at Manchester's Trinity High School.

David Thibault, the director of Catholic education for the Diocese of Manchester, declined to give the student's name.

but confirmed to MassLive in a statement that the person is no longer a high school student.

The picture caused a storm of criticism for the school and outrage among locals.

The moment has come, said Thibault, "to sit with people and actually listen; to love our neighbours as ourselves."
