Fire at West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind destroys former administrative building; none injured

A fire broke out early Saturday on the campus of the West Virginia Schools

for the Deaf and Blind and destroyed a building, authorities said.

More than a dozen fire crews responded after the fire was reported at about 6:10 a.m

he blaze engulfed the administration building, and a porch and wall collapsed,

“When we got here, we had fire blowing out of every door and window,”

The building also houses the school’s archives and the superintendent’s residence, according to the newspaper
