2021 T20 World Cup: Sri Lanka cricket team captain Dasun Shanaka has said that his first priority is to enter the Super 12 of the ICC T20 World Cup by winning all three matches of the first round (qualifying stage). The 2014 T20 World Cup winners now play against Ireland after beating Namibia by seven wickets.
On which team will be the toughest challenger for Sri Lanka in the group stage, the Sri Lankan captain said, “Winning all three group matches is the priority for us and the conditions here will help us a lot in the main tournament.” After defeating Namibia, Shanaka said, “We will definitely be in a good position by winning all three matches. This will help us adapt to the conditions in the main tournament.”
