T20 World Cup: Ireland bowler Curtis Campher hattrick has taken the first hat-trick of the T20 World Cup being held in UAE and Oman. He achieved this feat in the match against Netherlands in Abu Dhabi on Monday. He is the first bowler for Ireland to take a hat-trick in international cricket. Curtis Campher took four wickets in four consecutive balls. He has become the third bowler in the world to do so in T20 Internationals (T20i). Before Curtis, Lasith Malinga of Sri Lanka and Rashid Khan of Afghanistan have done this feat.
Rashid Khan took four consecutive wickets against Ireland in 2019 and Malinga against New Zealand in the year 2019 itself. Talk about bowlers who took hat-trick in T20 World Cup, before Curtis Camper, Brett Lee of Australia did this feat against Bangladesh.
Curtis Campher did this feat in the 10th over of the Netherlands innings. He dismissed Colin Ackerman on the second ball for a personal score of 11 runs. After this, he sent Ryan ten Deskate to the pavilion on the next ball. He returned to the pavilion after being LBW on the very first ball.
Curtis Camper becomes the first ever Ireland player to take a hat-trick in men’s international cricket. With this, all full-member countries have at least one hat-trick to their name.#T20WorldCup #IREvNED

The fourth ball of Curtis Camper once again hit the pads of the Netherlands batsman. The umpire did not give out. Curtis Campher disagreed with umpire Rod Tucker’s decision. Took them a review. It was clear in Hawk Eye that the ball was hitting the leg-stump. With this, Camper’s hat-trick was completed. Curtis Camper’s fifth ball hit the batsmen van der Merv and hit the wickets. In this way he took four wickets in four balls.
