Rashid Khan Statement: There are only a few days left for the start of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and the round of discussions has started regarding it. Afghanistan’s star bowler Rashid Khan has told which players he considers to be the best T20 players in the world. The special thing is that he has included Indian captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Hardik Pandya in the top five T20 players of the World Cup.
He said that these two of Team India have the ability to win matches for their team in any kind of situation. In a recent interview, Rashid also named South African legend AB de Villiers, New Zealand captain Kane Williamson and West Indies explosive batsman Kieron Pollard among his top five T20 cricketers ahead of the World Cup to be held in UAE and Oman from October 17.
Virat Kohli has the highest score of 3159 runs in T20 Internationals and averages 52.65, which is the best among batsmen to have played at least 20 innings. Rashid said, “It doesn’t really depend on the wicket, it doesn’t matter what the wicket is, he is in the players who will perform well.” Kohli will participate in his fourth T20 World Cup. He was adjudged the player of the tournament in the last two World Cups. He will step down from the captaincy of the T20 format after the World Cup.
Rashid said that while chasing the big target, the role of Pollard and Pandya will be important. He said, “These two will be such key batsmen for me who can also achieve the target of 80-90 runs in the last four-five overs. He is the kind of batsman who can easily play that role for you.”
Rashid picked Williamson for his laid-back demeanor that takes the pressure off the team and admitted that bowling to de Villiers has never been easier. He said, “An explosive batsman who can score fast runs at any level, on any wicket, against any bowler and he can also play all kinds of shots. As a captain, you would always love to have a batsman like this in your team.
