During this innings, Dhawan has made another record in his name. He has completed his 2000 runs in IPL while playing for Delhi team. Dhawan is the fourth batsman in the franchise to do so.

Shikhar Dhawan, popularly known as Gabbar, scored 43 runs in 35 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 3 fours against Bangalore yesterday. He shared 88 runs for the first wicket with Prithvi Shaw. With this, he has also completed his 2000 runs in IPL for Delhi.

Dhawan was included in the Delhi team in 2019

Shikhar Dhawan joined the Delhi Capitals team in 2019 after being traded to Sunrisers Hyderabad. This year Dhawan has scored 544 runs in 14 matches of IPL at an average of 41.84 and strike rate of 128.00. In which 3 half-centuries are included. His best score this year has been 92 runs. Apart from this, Dhawan has also hit 61 fours and 14 sixes in the tournament so far this year.

In this year’s Orange Cap race, Dhawan is in third place behind Punjab captain KL Rahul (626 runs in 13 matches) and Chennai opener Faf du Plessis (546 runs in 14 matches).

So far, Dhawan has played 190 matches in IPL. In which he has scored 5741 runs. In the list of highest run-scorers in IPL, Dhawan is second only to RCB captain (6240 runs).
